Replacing fog light bulb without removing bumper.
*I replaced my original bulb with the HID H3 6000K kit from ebay ($75)
It took me about 2 hrs for both sides.
This is my first time doing a DIY so hope it makes sense.
*I am doing the passenger side.
1. You must remove your wheel to make things easier on you
2. Remove 12 screws that hold plastic shroud, this will allow you to pull back the plastic without having to remove it completely. (see picture #1) Once you have the screws off pull on the plastic to reveal the fog light housing, go easy so you don't break something.
3. disconnect the power (see picture #2)
4. The next step requires a hex screw driver about 8" in length. Go to the front of the car and place it in the hole next to the fog light (see picture #3) this screw is the only thing securing the housing in place, unscrew it and go back to the wheel well.
5. Now gently tug on the fog light assembly to pry loose, once you have it halfway out twist on the cap to reveal the light bulb plug. (see picture #2)
6. Unplug the light bulb, at this time you can replace the bulb with an original or with a HID.
7. If you decided to go with the HID kit and you have finished following the installation instructions you are left with a Black wire and a blue wire (see picture #4) connect the black wire to the black wire from the car and the blue to the red wire from the car. Plug everything back and TEST! that they are working.
8. Now you are ready to put everything back as you found it, work back and replace all the parts.
Good luck!

Testing the waters, this is my first DIY. I'm going to try opening the headlight to paint it black and at that time I will upgrade the rest of the light bulbs.

Thanks again for your post and picts. Although I didn't install an HID replacement, your instructions made it possible to replace my burned out fog H3 and side marker 168 bulbs. Didn't even need to remove the fog light holder from the bumper.
One thing I learned is that it is a LOT easier to do this if one lies down next to the car instead of kneeling down. From the recumbent position, you get a better view and easier reach in. My aching muscles make me wish I had discovered that earlier in the process.
