i found putting a little bit of gasoline on a towel and rubbing the lights can clean some of the haze off. then i polish it using MEGUIARS clear plastic cleaner. hope this helps.

Product with a name of PLASTIX (or some thing very similar) works great.

Try the plastic polish made by 3M. Nissan even recommends it for their own headlight cleaning.

Default RE: Hazy headlights..

There's this stuff called on ebay. I was going to give it a try for another car I have with plastic covers. It's only $6 with no shipping charges so if it doesn't work, you won't feel too bad .

Ditto on the 3M. Its as easy as applying polish. But, do NOT get this on your paint because it is very abrasive. When you apply it, you will understand.

Only drawback is that it only lasts for about a month on a daily driver. There is a 2-step product that I just bought, but haven't tried it yet. Very expensive ($60).

Salimshah, I just bought and used the Meguiar's PlastX (New and Improved the bottle said) and it worked great, my lenses are clear and bright, wow. And, it only took a few minutes, if that, to follow the instructions for the application and wipe off. I also used it on the smaller lens below the main headlights and the rear lights. Price was under $10.00 USD I believe.

Remember to follow up with a coating of wax or uv-pretectorant.

Quick buff with Meguiars M105 and followed up with M205 will give amazing results. Wetsanding would give the best results but most are iffy to do so.

If applying wax, make sure to keep adding layers or itll fade again. Wax after every car wash.

I have tried quite a few products, as well as the toothpaste. Nothing seems very effective so I thought the haze is partially on the inside surface.
Now I want to polish it again after seeing the new post......

3M Headlight Restoration Kit - they are $13 - $15 depending on the website.

Amazon Amazon

I have purchased and used this kit twice. Works great. Will probably take 1-2 hours total time if you do a really good job. It literally removes the corroded plastic with a course disc that you attach to a drill. Then you go up in grit until you it's smooth again, then you finish with a compound and a buffing pad. They only other thing you need beside a drill is a spray bottle of water and some masking tape to protect your paint.

I was VERY happy with the results. One of my friends bought the same kit and was very happy with his results too.

Also, you can probably get two uses out of one kit to be honest.
