2001 RX300 Post knock sensor and manifold replacement
Apologies upfront that there are likely posts that are applicable, but i am not a DIY and am really just looking for feedback for when i take it in to be looked at.
Last week, Friday, i had the knock sensors and manifold intakes replaced. Day one post repair, everything was fine. Day 2 the engine started having issues when i accelerated quickly (if i slowly added gas it seemed ok. Day3 and day 4 the problem was intermittent with rough acceleration and what i call burping as i accelerate. Note - to this point there has not been a warning - check engine light.
Today, the issue became more pronounced. and the last time when i started the car it died a couple of times and then when i gave some gas the engine started up. I sat there a couple of minutes - just waiting and then the engine light flashed a couple of times and then went solid.
I know tere is a code now that the engine light is on. but i don't want to drive it any more than necessary to get it looked at. But i would like an understanding of what the issue could be.
Thanks.

You do understand that you are asking for us to 'guess'.
My best guess would be a disconnected ground wire by the firewall. There is a ground spot and one has to work blindly to secure multiple wires.
I am guessing that you had the work done by a shop/mechanic. If yes, let them diagnose.
