Default Check Engine Light Solution!

Many thanks to Lexmex, aflash, salim, and others for your input into my check engine light problems. Through your posts and suggestions I was able to solve the problem and save big $$$ by not having to take my RX300 to the stealership. For all others who may be having similiar problems, the DTC codes I was getting on the computer readout were: P0125, P1135 and P1155. If Your CE light is on and you're getting these codes the reason is more than likely the A/F ratio sensors/ O2 sensors (exhaust mainfolds front and rear). I replaced both of mine and now after more than 50 miles no CE light. I purchased my A/F sensors from www.oxygensensors.com they had the best prices (any order over $50 free shipping). As recommended, I purchased 2 Denso A/F ratio sensors item # 234-9009 and installed them myself. I also had to purchase an O2 sensor socket from the local auto parts store (only $10.00) I did run into a big problem though when I pulled the A/F sensor out of the front manifold. It appeared to be cross-threaded or maybe the threads somehow seized (it appeared to be the original) but when I finally got it out the threads in the manifold were history. Luckily, it was the front manifold so I took it off and had a local machine shop re-thread it for me for only $20.00. Prior to installing the new A/F sensors I pulled the neg. cable off of the battery. This allowed the ECM to reset. It was off approx. 30 minutes while I installed the sensors. After installing the sensors I reconnected the battery cable, cranked it up, test drove it and no CE light since!!! I hope this thread helps anybody facing this same issue in the future.

Your info helped a lott.the info on where to buy sensor ,will help when i buy the rear sensor.I too had an 1135 code.when i checked out prices on the sensor,I had prices of $500-$300.ended up paying $220 Thanks a lott.

Question was working 125 code what does it mean?

i replaced the front o2 sensor with new denso sensor.ce light stayed out for a while but later came on after 30 miles. i didnt replace rear o2 sensor , because i didnt get that code. i got a 1135 & a125 code .what is this 125 code .

I am not sure what an a125 code is. The closest thing is P0125 and we dicussed that in this thread, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ighlight=p0125

Hmmmm!

I wonder what would have happened if you just disconnected the battery for 1/2 an hour and did not replace the sensors

I had a check engine light come on my other car after installing a K&N filter and after reseting the ecu (disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes) voala! CE message gone.

Oh well hindsight is 20/20

Hey Fern, I tried that and hoped and prayed it was that simple. In fact, I disconnected the battery several times for longer and longer intervals, I pulled the "efi" or #13 fuse, I even switched the A/F sensors around. After trying every inexpenseive possible way to remedy the problem, I followed the advise from others who had experience with this problem and had posted to this forum and then I replaced the 2 A/F sensors and problem solved! I would highly recommend to anyone having this problem, search this forum and gather as much info. as possible before making a repair decision. I did and I'm pleased to say that I had great success and will refer to this forum in the future.
