seatbelt flashing sign rx300
is there a way to stop the seatbelt lights from flashing? not that I'm against seatbelts, but I better use my own judgement.

Out of Warranty
Yes, buckle the seatbelt around your body. It has the additional benefit of keeping your face out of the windshield in the event of a collision at speeds above 4 mph.
You might cut the leads to the offending lamp, but you should be aware that circumventing OEM safety equipment may 1. void your insurance, and 2. make you liable for injuries to passengers or even future owners of the car.

Theoretically, there are ways you could do this with the sensors and electrical connections, but I have to agree 100% with Lil4x. At our drag strip in Mexico, no seat belt use or seat belt in the car, you don't drive on our track. I feel naked with out it.

The sensor is pacified by the tongue of the belt. Alternate source for tongues are junk yards, extention belts for big.
I am also with every one who say belts are essential safety equipment. Higher speeds and higher center of gravity of SUV require restraints.
I am sure one can find exceptions and quote cases where safety belts were the cause of loss of life but those cases are rare. I have only come across one just recently, but there have been countless other, where loss of life could have been prevented by simply donning the seat belt.
