Im not sure I want to commit to an exhaust yet on my rcf. I enjoy driving it in eco and cruising silently like a lexus but sometimes I want to know that I bought a v8. I know if I get an exhaust I will get tired of it eventually so I was wondering.... If I remove my oem axleback and just leave the resonators hanging will it cause any damage? I know alot people that do a muffler delete weld a pipe in place of the muffler. What if I just remove the muffler? Thanks

If the exhaust doesn't exit behind or at the side of the vehicle you run the risk of exhaust entering the cabin, something you do not want. You could try dumps, but something I would avoid.

I would think you'd want some type of support holding the resonators on the car... leaving the mufflers off is going to be janky... don't do that. This isn't a riced out honda.
Go to an exhaust shop and have them put if nothing else pipes that bolt onto the resonated mid section with exhaust hangers, that way the entire exhaust is supported rather than at the bottom of the headers holding up the exhaust through the mid section...
I've never liked dumps. They make the bottom of the car extremely dirty because all the exhaust gas is now sitting under the car/truck and you are introducing moisture under there constantly as a byproduct of the exhaust...
How are you planning on passing thru California's inspections? sees really stupid IMHO, this isn't a kids car why act like a kid? Go get an Apexi N1 Axel back it is really not that loud and ask Apexi if they offer Silencers, Most do to be able to sell in the US. .
Very bad idea to just remove the axle back and leave it that way. You risk burning some plastic parts under the car, exhaust smell getting in the cabin, etc. When you say "I want to know that I bought a V8*? You want it to sound like a typical Domestic V8? European V8? Exotic V8? Or? That will hopefully narrow down your exhaust choices.
Buy an extra set of mufflers off eBay and have your local muffler shop cut the mufflers off and then weld straight pipes in their place. It'll only take minutes to swap back n forth.
"sometimes I want to know that I bought a v8"...Find a clear stretch of freeway and push the right foot to the floor (avoid traffic--personal best is 70 to 124 in one mile and just a few seconds). OR have someone else sit in the car in neutral stand behind the car and have that person push the right foot to the floor. Guarantee you will be pleased with the v8 either way. For those "sometimes". I also cruise in eco around town but have a hard time containing my "enthusiasm" on the freeway.
That's exactly why I chose to get an Armytrix Exhaust. Nothing more obnoxious than coming home late, or leaving wicked early with something that rattles your neighbors windows.
Being able to close the valve to "Neighborhood Mode" or open it up to scream like a Ferrari when on the gas is why I love the system so much! My 3 cents FWIW.
Agree just have a muffler shop cut out the mufflers and put straight pipes. Any good shop should be able to do the hangers and line it up nicely.
If you want an even simpler solution just do a resonator delete. No hangers necessary, any shop can easily cut them out and put pipes in place. At a bare minimum the car should've sounded that way from the factory. It's a slight increase in volume, mostly notable when you step on it. Much quieter than many stock exhausts on other performance cars nowadays
This is probably much louder than you want but this is my personal setup; I did a muffler delete with aftermarket resonators
