Default Rear turn signal

How do you switch out the rear turn signal with LED light? And any recommendations on which LEDs. I'm looking at Diode Dynamics, but the good ones are on back order.

I used these. Post #24

The leds on the bulb look a little flourescent orange like a orange highlighter color. Not big of issue unless you look close. But from afar it's clear.

Wow that looks a lot nicer than the OEM ones.

Was it easy to install?

it's easy. The owner's manual has the instructions. Essentially you unscrew the bolts then yank it. Replace bulb and insert the lamp back in.

Here's a diy. But skip the first step. Don't need to remove liner

Thank you for the directions.

I checked the site and RC wasn't listed as a model under the drop-down menu. Which model did you get? or are they all the same ones?

in my opinion i think they are worth the money, they are super bright at night and well made. In the past i have brought an hid kit and halo ring switchback leds from Diode Dynamics for my Ram truck and both went out in less then a year, the hid kit was the worst, every few months they had to send me a new ballast under warranty till i gave up and just brought another kit from someone else.

I think the one on the link. Would not go by their compatible guide. Double check bulb number. Should be same as oem 7440. But double check. Also 1 is a pair. So don't order 2

I'm terribly sorry to hear that. The Dodge Ram is definitely one of the most difficult vehicles to work with Canbus-wise. Our engineers have continued updating and improving products for the Ram to prevent those things from happening.

HID-wise, we are utilizing ballasts from Hylux, who is considered by many the best aftermarket ballast on the market (our competitors have begun to offer them as well).

We'd love the opportunity to take care of these issues for you and make sure you have a better experience going forward, please don't hesitate to contact us: Contact@diodedynamics.com
