I wish LC500 also has an activated rear spoiler.

New model line. It doesn't have the F badge though. Akio said it will be in showrooms next year.

It has the same engine as Fs. But they mentioned about weight reductions. Just don't know how those reductions are. It may be above RCF price range...

It has the same HP as the RC-F but probably weighs more and costs about $20 k more. What's so great about that?

Hopefully it'll be a $20k difference in handling and transmission - if it even comes close to a PDK Porsche 911 + retaining Lexus reliability - it'll be a win.

I don't want to click the paddle 7 times to downshift from 10th gear to 3rd in manual mode though...

Time to upgrade! Ha-ha. No, I'm happy for this model and for the company. Glad to know we have the same engine. But that exhaust note sounds better. It'll be just more lux. If they shave 400 lbs off from rc f which I think is doable given its a new platform, the engine will be able to propel that car around 4 to 60mph..

Too rich for me.

Primary discussion thread above. Not merging this thread since it's more RC-F vs LC (so far)

It's supposed to be lighter and have a 10-speed transmission.

10 spd transmission is overkill IMO. Unless the last 2-3 gears are simply for highway cruising speeds and fuel economy purposes. This thing better be at 1k rpms at 90 mph lol.

My guess is this car will be between $80k-$100k, anything more and it will be compared to the M6 & R8...and fall flat on its face. Let's leave that to the LC-F.

Assuming the above - it's hard to imagine how the RC-F can coexist with this LC500 in the same lineup as they're competing for the same exact drivers.

several articles I have read report it will be north of $100,000 and will be the Lexus flagship coupe.

Yeah, it's kind of a head scratcher. Why wouldn't Lexus up the hp a bit? If the car had 500+ hp and was lighter than the Fs, it might be worth another $20K.
