Default 200t Performance Mods?

I am just curious what the general consensus is on mods for the 200t or even my NX 300? Do things like a different charge pipe, CAI, turbo muffler delete, diverter spacer or tune do any good on these small turbo engines or are they a waste of time and money?

I recently thought about trading our RC F Sport 200t for a new Mustang 5.0 just for the power aspect. 1, they lowballed our trade amount. 2, the Mustang didn't have nearly as many creature comforts. And 3, it was a Mustang. Its value drops DRAMATICALLY the second you drive it off the lot! I have owned 8 Mustangs and each one the value plummeted the minute we took delivery.

So, I kept the 200t and really like it except for the lack of low end power. Help me out car guys. Give me some tips/advice. Trading is not an option...

Since our cars have the same 8AR-FTS engine and RWD layout as the IS200t/IS300, here is a good thread to help you:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...200t-tune.html

Get the ECU tune and downpipe first, everything else comes after that.

The NX has the same engine but is FWD, so the RWD downpipes, etc, wont fit. The IS and RC are definitely worth tuning and modding, but the NX not so much...

you're quite welcome. the NX300 awd has the same horizontal engine layout as the fwd model, so same applies

I have an intake, and downpipe, JB4 tuner from Burger Motor Sports will be next. I am happy with the mods so far, seems to be more pep in the cars step with less turbo lag.

I have a Takeda Intake, PPE Downpipe, Invidia Midpipe, Tubro Muffler Delete and BMS Stage 1 tune.

I'm not trying to build for big power, just a little more umph and I am happy. I plan to upgrade to an OV Tune once my wheels come in.

I have a brand new / factory sealed Takeda for sale for the 200t or 300 turbo models. It's listed in the classified section here in CL. PM me with your zip code so I can give you a price shipped. It will be the cheapest price you will find.
