Can't wait to see the RC-F

 

+1 ... been reading his blog since the beginning.

 

Last thing you want is a lackluster campaign for a new model

 

He really is a Lexus enthusiast, the site could not be named better. Great guy and always active with new articles and insights and I've learned a bit from his write-ups.

From what I've gotten, there will be a significant marketing push for the RC, larger than the IS and GS combined…..

 

Coupes are very important to a luxury brand, so makes sense

 

i doubt it will be bigger money wise, because while coupes are cool and important as halo vehicles, they dont sell much... and RC is not made to be best seller IMHO, if they wanted big sales, they would make it more usable... to me, shorter wheelbase means they prefer great handling to great sales, which is exactly what they would want from Halo vehicle.

So it will handle well, win comparos and do decent sales, if all goes well.

 

I think it's big because other than the IS-C vert, there hasn't been a two door entry in some time. People forget about it. Strong marketing will help get the message out.

I think the LF-LC will be the halo vehicle not the RC.

 

plus i think bmw sells quite a lot of 3 coupe / 4 series compared to sedan version as well

 

I too think that RC-F will be the Coupe version of IS line. They will focus more into the handling aspect, probably handling better than FT-86.

 

for 40k, it will still be halo car that anyone can own :-).

i expect a lot from wide track, short wheelbase, low center of gravity coupe... both IS and GS handle great and this should handle even better.

I might even get it, if there is enough space in the back for the kiddies...

 

Will the GS-F coincide with a MMC styling refresh?

 

I think the RC will be a Hero car and the LF-LC will be the Halo car for Lexus

 

Can't wait to see more pics and colors.. And the F Sport and of course RC F.

Tokyo show should be starting around Nov. 20th no?

Should be some good real world shots on the turntables

 

20th is press days.. but maybe they will keep RC F-Sport for some other show coming soon after, like Detroit? It is usually done that way.

 

Thought the RC F was being held till the Detroit show?

Either way, looking forward to a week from now @ Tokyo.
