Official Lexus RC thread
I love this new Lexus. I have posted the images on Facebook and the only thing I hear is " beautiful, BUT that grille looks horrible.". I actually like the grille a bit more now. Warming up to it, but most who see it initially arent in love with it
Don't think so. Lexus is on a more staggered system versus BMW.
RC = between IS and GS
4-series = 3-series coupe
That's why the RC looks more upscale than the 4-series, because it's going to be positioned between the 4 and 6-series.
I think the LC will be between the GS and LS, so it would be positioned between the 6-series and old 8-series.

RC is most removed from its sibling, 3IS.
Yes they all compete but RC is far bigger effort, similar to A5 when it came out, such a beautiful car and such difference from boring A4.
I will be considering the RC-F when released as a possible replacement for my IS-F. I am really liking the style compared to the BMW 4 series. Hopefully it will be powered with at least 450hp V8 or turbo 6(not likely) then throw in some Joe-Z products (intake/exhaust/) and possibly PPE/Sikky headers then good to go I'm sure Joe is game.
Lexus International executive vice president Mark Templin shared his first public comments on the upcoming RC coupe with Motoring Australia:

“The car is great because it is wider than IS, it’s got the track width of GS, it’s shorter than IS. It’s got bits from both of those cars and it’s going to be a kick *** driver’s car with a lower centre of gravity and some other things that will make it a fantastic car to drive."
Putting the unique limited edition LFA Supercar aside, there has only been one F ‘halo’ model developed and that’s the V8-powered second generation IS launched in 2007. But along with the RC F a GS F is expected soon.
“F is an important part of our forward strategy,” Templin added. “At each step I want to have halo cars that make the brand, make people passionate about Lexus.”
