Official Lexus RC thread
Yep, the A4 2.0T's 211hp has been hailed by several mags as the "strongest 211 horses ever", so I wouldn't worry too much even if the RC200t does come with only 210hp. The weak point of the current IS250 is really the severe lack of punch down low, and the 2.0 turbo will fix that easily no matter what the top-end horsepower is tuned to. But of course, if they want to be competitive rather than just "good enough" then more horses will be in order.

the grille is growing on me. i think it will look awesome in person. the 3 dimensional nature of the spindle grille doesnt photograph well, but in certain angles you can see the 3d shape and it looks pretty darn nice
I like it a lot, except for the IS like light strip below the headlights. Can't wait to see it in other colors and black interior. It's a good feeling to know there will be a real Lexus coupe I could consider in the future.
Don't think so. Lexus is on a more staggered system versus BMW.
RC = between IS and GS
4-series = 3-series coupe
That's why the RC looks more upscale than the 4-series, because it's going to be positioned between the 4 and 6-series.
I think the LC will be between the GS and LS, so it would be positioned between the 6-series and old 8-series.

RC is more based on IS than GS - just look at the interior.
Is the platform heavily updated compared to the IS - yes, but so is the 4 series compared to 3series. For the 4 coupe chassis is highly modified with new steering rack, lower center of gravity, etc.
I will say RC has its own exterior styling cues and looks nicer than the GS and IS. I feel it will be a BIG seller if its priced/packaged aggresively.
I hope Lexus is not trying to position it as a Eclass coupe competito and overprice it, that would be a mistake.
They need to offer the 2.0turbo ASAP for the base model.
