It looks like an exotic which nothing in its class can say, and I think its a good thing. Love it or hate it, its very striking.
Totally nailed it. For an "entry-level" coupe, its exterior looks like it could go punch above its weight class and go up against the 6-series. The other cars in its class all look dated and a class below. The RC is the W222 S-class of its class.
Now imagine what Lexus can do with the production version of the LF-LC which I'm guessing will resurrect the SC nameplate. :O
For the first time, Lexus has clearly snatched the lead from the Germans in desirable car designs.
Where once, it led in quality and dependability but was perceived as building boringly styled cars, now it's actually taken the initiative in forward exciting car styling with the Germans on the backfoot in this department.
Now the Lexus RC is fresh and exciting while making the equivalent Germans (4 series/A5/C coupe) look dull and pedestrian.
After looking at all the pics, Overall this is one Awesome looking car......to me this is probably the nicest Lexus design since the 2GS. (Not including LFA)
It looks Sporty & Elegant, very muchlike the Maserati GranTurismo.
Im still not fond of the grill and the rear PorscheTurbo-like vents....Fsport model should fix that.
Beautiful! Haven't read through the entire thread, but will it be available with a proper manual?
yes, it's called the "Eight-Speed Sport Direct-Shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters"
Lexus' F and MB's AMG are on the same route in offering no manual option, and BMW will be following suit soon enough as the next M5 will have no 3rd pedal option
