I apologize if this a repeat post, just recently joined. Just curious on how the tune from RR Racing is for a 17 300. Have a q300 midpipe with AFE axleback. Has anyone had any issues with the tune. Are you receiving a noticeable increase in power or throttle response. Car is honestly a slug, sounds great just needs loads more power. Just want to make sure it is worth it before I go ahead and void my warranty. Thanks in advance for the responses.

Seems worth it on the 300, but not at all on the 350 without other mods.
You're essentially (un)de-tuning Lexus' stupid decision to de-tune the 300 in the first place. On the 350, the tune alone might provide an additional 10 WHP that doesn't seem worth it at all, but you'll get a lot more on the 300.
A tune is definitely worth it as the IS300's are detuned from the factory. It'll get you to IS350 specs if not a bit more, with better throttle response. We will also adjust for the modifications that you have.

I thought the engines on the 16 to 20 was the same V6 engine. I'm on the fence for a tune on my 2018 300.
I’ve been debating back and forth for a year about doing it into my 350. Only a 10 whp in my case and no improvement to painfully slow paddle shifters. In the case of a 300 it’s a HUGE gain over stock and would probably be the first thing I did if I had a 300.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Have intake and axpe back on 350 but eh... money spent better elsewhere at least as of so far.
But if I had the V6 300, agreed the 1st thing I'd do.
I can say, as I have in other posts to this question, I most definitely would do it and have done it. I wasn’t on the fence, I just had to wait until RR Racing was able to tune the 17MY without having to mail in the ecu as mine is a daily commuter. Once they were able to do this, I bought it within weeks and have no regrets. It is a night and day improvement, throttle response is better, took a bit to get use to, but it is nice. The acceleration is great, the pull to 7200 is amazing. I think you could ask anyone who has this on their 300, they’d all agree with me. Money well spent.

I would do it in heartbeat, but I wouldn't want to send my ECU either. Mine is a 2018 and it seems they don't have the option to tune it without sending them the ECU.
