To better help ya out on this also, they do all have basically the same V6 engines. The IS300/350 have the same 3.5 2GR-FSE engine, then in 2018 they made some modifications to that engine which is now coded as the 3.5 2GR-FKS. Now if I’m not mistaken, mechanically the biggest difference in the two is at the heads where the exhaust manifolds live. Two different designs between them. The FSE uses the VVT-i system and the FKS uses the newly developed VVT-iW system, which you can look up the differences, which is in the parameters and cams. The FSE uses an exhaust manifold basically like most engines, but the FKS has the manifold cast into the head allowing the engine to cool exhaust gases before it hits the catalytic converters allowing them to be closer to the engines. Yada yada yada, all in efforts to make the engine more efficient. Although you don’t see the fuel improvement in the IS models.

Just got the tune for my 2016 IS300 AWD, highly recommend! Easy to install, RR racing send you back your tune file within 24 hours. Car is super responsive, less laggy and more power throughout the RPM ranges.

They don't yet have the tune available for the 2018 (that's what I own). I've been tracking this with them since June 2019. They were supposed to have it last fall, but it's still not available. I checked with them 2 weeks ago and the latest is that it's delayed to "later this year".

I’ve been asking rr about a 2018 tune since mid/early last year and still say it’s in development. I wish they could see how many ppl are wanting a 2018+ tune for the turbo and non turbo models 😭

Likewise, I've been waiting for a tune for my 2019 IS300 F sport AWD since last October when I bought it.

Is it done yet? My 2018 is so sluggish off the line (and no, I don't race), but it would be great to have this tune ASAP.

Warranty question: am planning to buy a 3-4 years extended warranty, on a is300 or 350. If I get the is300, it's because I would want to tune it, but if there is any chance tue dealer can, in any way, find out its tuned, I rather not lose the warranty and I would not mind getting the is350 at that point.

Can anyone confirm 100% if I tune and flash back to stock, can the dealer find out (say for major repairs like the engine)?

Lastly, other than the +10 whp on the is350, does the rr tune offer better throttle response? What's the stock rev limit in the is300/350?

Thanks to all
