I've only tried it a few times to check the rev limit increase and haven't noticed any issues with the trans... although the transmission does tend to hunt for gears regardless depending on throttle position which is annoying but that happened even before the tune.

I haven’t had any problems with gear hunting on my is350 ‘14. Let us know if you find anymore issues. Thanks

anyone taken their tuned car to the dealership without flashing it back to stock? Any concerns before doing that? Or should I always flash back to stock before taking it in?

I’ve had mine at the dealer a few times now, one instance required for them to hook it up to tech stream for diagnostic check, they never said anything about it, just simply fixed the loose hose under the hood and cleared my codes. This is assuming they even noticed the tune in the first place. If you’re worried though and have the ability to reflash to stock, what would it hurt to do so? I, on the other hand, don’t have this ability on my ‘17.

They don’t offer an independent handheld device, it’s all done through downloads via a dongle, laptop, and internet connecting the car to them.

Don't you mean that the other way? 7200 in auto mode, I'd assume it you know, automatically shifts. I'd presume it's manual mode where you have to keep your eye on the tach to avoid bouncing off the rev limiter.

I think that is what he mean't. I have the RR racing tune and mine shifts at 7200 in auto.

To clarify, in auto it will shift AT 7200 so if you feel it "hesitate" to shift in auto, that's you bouncing off Redline for a split second before car shifts. In manual mode, will car bang off redline only when TC is off.

Mine would still shifts automatically when it hit 7200, ****(sport), shifter(manual), TC off. OR it may be just imagination or maybe muscle memory on the paddle thinking it autoshifted when reality I actually did it

Ditto this. When its hot out the converter will unlock at 6800, itll hesitate, then relock, then bounce off at 7200 for like a second, then shift to second in auto mode for me. All that is supposedly fixed with a transmission tune that RR is looking into.

Not trying to be rude just stating that Lexus mods will be expensive all the way around unless you buy cheap junk them you get what you pay for.

Also these tuners and tunes are locked to your ECU and requires a specific file from RR Racing to configure it to a new vehicle at a price.
totally agree with you
