Top gear, 30-50 mph: 3.9 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 5.0 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 15.3 sec @ 92 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 124 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 167 ft

Zero to 130 mph: 41.3 sec
Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 8.0 sec
Top gear, 30-50 mph: 4.4 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 5.1 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 15.3 sec @ 91 mph
Top speed (mfr's est): 143 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 171 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.85 g
Why does the NX200t weigh at least 300 lbs more but get better acceleration times? it's higher, less slippery in the air, and heavier. And has a worse transmission.
Just a little rant. still love the car.
I hope a tune comes soon and helps some of these issues. Waiting on Bms
I've been thinking about it and I think Lexus added the 1-1.5 second delay because otherwise the 200t would compete with the 350 for 0-60 times. That being said, it is dangerous and infuriating to deal with so I hope a tuner is able to remedy it.
I can see your point about the IS350, which is a very unfortunate premise on Lexus's end. Every other competitor 2.0 turbo on the market appears to be better than this one, it fails in every category and to top it off efficiency is mediocre at best.
I think the efficiency is dependent on driving style; because I redline my car all the time, I get an amazing 19.9 MPG whereas the normal consumer is probably averaging 27 MPG. I read somewhere that turbo cars are inefficient while in boost, but efficient when outside of the power band.

What does this mean? (in my head) well perhaps our 200t engines ARE capable but were neutered with software. Which makes me hopeful for BMS's tune. Maybe it makes a 241hp and 258lb ft torque BUT how long does it make that power? Over the entire curve? Or does it peak quickly? This car should do 0-60 in 6.4-6.5s. It's hard to tell but from the dyno it looks like the BMW stays flatter longer. Basically it puts down its power over a wider range. I could be seeing things though. The plots below aren't similar in terms of how its displayed.
Comparisons of stock cars on the same dyno by BMS:
BMW 320i 8-Speed Auto 0-60 7.1s (8 lbs boost)
183 Rear Wheel Horsepower
209 Rear Wheel Torque
Lexus IS200t 8-Speed Auto 0-60 6.9s (17 lbs boost)
203 Rear Wheel Horsepower
229 Rear Wheel Torque
(With this "alpha" tune from BMS, it puts the IS200t at 269HP and 290 lb-ft torque) assuming 15% driveline loss on 93 octane. Not bad.
