I thought the Toyota and BMW collaboration on the new Supra meant that it would be powered by a BMW motor like the straight 6 twin turbo from the M3/M4?
This would suggest that the USA will get the 30i (2.0t) and 40i (6cyl) J29. Also looks like Europe will even get the 20i (2.0t) which will probably be similar to the BMW 320i power output at 180hp

I just wonder if the 2.0t Supra comes with bmws new b46 engine or toyotas a8rfts. It'll be badged 20i 30i and 40i similar to BMW however common sense would make me think Toyota would use its Lexus engine for the 2.0t. Can't say the same for the 40i which I'm sure will be BMWs new b58
Hello guys
There is our stage 2 plus tune data logs use 4th gear from 1700rpm full pedal until 5410rpm running little faster over 83mph road test last night.
The boost pressure 35.66psi @2713rpm until 31.11psi @5410rpm (That's absolute pressure value) we care about not just boost value ,I worry about temperature management , then you can see the detail of data logs what we do.

yea that’s interesting, I am leaning more towards a newly designed 4 cylinder motor, but like you said if they go with the 8AR then the aftermarket upgrades would definitely grow!

This is the AFE scorcher piggyback system, the SAE numbers look too good to be true,we need someone to do some real life testing lol.

This is awesome Tony! Lots of great information from testing to ensure reliability! I do think that this intercooler is crippling the progress since you’re getting higher IAT with the boost increase.

Yeah either the B46 engine or it'll be the 8AR. I don't think Toyota would go as far as developing a newly desgined 2.0t for the supra and if they do then hell yeah it'll still be Toyota powerplant, I just hope they keep the same 10.0:1 compression.

I'm curious to find out how much AFE raises boost pressure
I think i lost the time slip for the 1/8th mile that i ran yesterday at the Homestead Speedway, I ran 3 times first time i spun most of 1st gear and i did a 9.799 at 76 miles. Second Run i did a 9.486 i had a good launch but i'm sure i can do better and the last one i ran a 10.1 i disabled traction control all the way and i forgot to change gears from 2nd to 3rd and i lost a good 1 second and i launched the hardest there so i beleive with good traction and colder weather i can defenitely lower those times to 9.2 or maybe 9 flat . Temperature at the track yesterday was at 82F with 72% humidity. Last time i came i ran 9.991 and 10.2 (with the VR tuning box and no downpipe) at 87F and like 90% humidity. The difference when it comes to a Tuning box and the ecu reflash like the stage 2 tune its big guys the power increases all over the curve and the throttle response its better. Hopefully when i get back home i can find that timeslip either way when i get the charge pipe turbo muffler and stage 2 plus i'm gonna try to go to the street racing made safe even at palm beach raceway because here in Miami we dont have any 1/4 mile events only street racing. I'm sure we can get into the high 8's easy. we can even get to the 13's.
nice time slip. Just looks like you need to practice launching. It would be pretty badass if we could get under 2 secs on the 60 ft. With my time slip if I was at sea level instead of 1200ft of elevation my 1/4 mile was calculated to 14.6 time instead of 14.83. I'm planning on hitting the track coming up this Friday. FBO focus st's here are running 14.0s so we aren't terribly far away from having a pretty fast car
Tonight I'm stacking my vrtune (9) ontop of the OV reflash. lol lets see what happens. Ideally id like to run the BMS piggyback when its released because you can adjust boost to whatever terry from bms confirmed we can request whatever adjusted boost its just a matter of if the turbo can do it
