You gained performance....Really? How much HP?

For some reason i feel that i lost end torque..

I still have the full OEM piping from the cats all the way after the resonators..

Anybody have experienced the same?

Any inputs

thanks

Really? Stop being a d!kc. Speak to me like an adult about this subject. Why wouldn't getting rid of restrictive mufflers not yield ANY gains? Many cars out there, even videos of cars on the dyno with just an axle back gain some sort of performance, what makes the Lexus different? Were the mufflers on the Lexus already super free flowing from the factory? I dont have proof of any gains just by ridding the mufflers, but it does make sense that it would. Do you, sir, have any proof that it does not? If so, I humbly step aside. Now, put all your sarcastic, belittling tone aside, please, explain to me why it would NOT gain anything besides a meaner, deeper, throatier exhaust note.

So all that aside. Everyone seems to believe that an axle back would not gain anything as far as performance goes, but, remember gents, engines are basically air pumps. If ridding a restrictive muffler will help the engine breathe, would it not make it more efficient, therefore, make more power? Even nothing noticeable, like a 5whp increase, there is still a gain. I've been searching for proof, like dyno sheets with just an axle back on but nothing. On the other hand, catbacks make roughly between 5-10whp, why wouldnt an axle back yield any gains. And I wouldnt think the pre-muffler and the resonators are restrictive at all.

Again.. Why didnt you search info on your 2.5 piping before doing what you did rather, than doing it and whining "Guys ..?What happened? Can anyone tell me?"

Horsepower and torque go hand in had. Most bolt on parts will give you slightly more horsepower but take away presious torque. When you take out the restrictive mufflers you are relieving the exhaust system of back pressure which goes you your torque but hurts your horsepower. You have to find a balance and also see what is more important to you. Torque or horsepower?

I wasnt whining, i ask for an input, and i did search prior of doing this..

Not everybody have all the time in the world to read 11 year old threads, but i guess u do..

Good for u..

Now, if u dont like my post nobody is forcing u to read it or give your opinion.

Again why don't u search to do something else?

Hey max so I have a 2001 gs 430 with a fully stock exhaust and I want to know what to change out in order to get that v8 growl and more sound without losing performance, any suggestions? Muffler delete? Flowmasters? Or resonator delete?
