Forgive my ignorance but does a muffler delete add H.P.? or is it simply for "sound" ..if no muffler I take it will not pass the yearly inspection?

Maybe, a few at the most, but really the problem in RCF is the mid-pipe diameter which is barely over 1.5 inches and the pipe routing is very restrictive with a nasty 90 degree bend. It is a big, high strung V8 that needs to flow a lot and Lexus put restrictive exhaust to pass Euro emissions etc.

 

 

I will throw Invidia in the mix as well. This is the setup I am going for. I will be the first to remove resonator off an Invidia full catback as it has never been done

Damn that sounds amazing, did a res delete but this makes me wanna delete my mufflers as well, although I do enjoy rolling by cops knowing they won't look twice...just a relatively docile Lexus drivin about, nothin to see here

 

I wonder how loud these are. One reason I'm hesitant to pull the trigger is I want to be able to start up and get to the main road at 5:30 in the morning without pissing off the neighbors.

 

I know my Borla will wake up everybody and everything if I start it at 530am in a crowded residential area. Definitely NOT GOOD. Worse if you are in a confined area like a garage or underground parking structure.

Luckily for me I'm in an open area and there are lots and lots of other vehicles such as pickup trucks/Chargers/Camaros with glass packs which are way louder than mine.

 

Wondering the same. In the one shot when he pulls away it sounds almost as loud as Borla. I don't love the blue tips....actually at all...but maybe that can be addressed.
