Default Injen Intake GS430

Is this thing a total waste of time and money?

Also, if it is installed...does the oem intake piping, that routes air into the stock air box, have to be removed?

Thanks

I just installed my Ingen air intake this past weekend and I like it. Easy to install and replaces the stock air intake and box. There is a small hose that attaches to the Ingen pipe and it hits the air box. I suppose if you dont mind cutting the top part of the airbox then the Ingen piping would fit and you can keep some the hot engine seperate from the cone filter.

What he said.

Personally, Ive always like the K&N kit. Its reasonably priced, It comes with an enclosed heat shield, and the piping makes it look OEM.

I want a factory box because I'd like a more quiet intake, and think it's more likely to draw cold air. I'm not dead set on one but would like to try it. My gs300 box points backwards and is just not gonna fly. From what i see on Google the v8 boxes point to the driver side and not the firewall. I won't need a toyota maf since my GM maf is inline. Hoping to find one for less than ebay prices of 100-250 dollars!
