Default Is250 oem exhaust fit is350?

My buddy has an 07 is250 with stock (oem) but nicer sounding and looking muffler than my 06 is350. his looks bigger in diameter and looks to have better flow. We're assuming he got the sport edition and I have the luxury. We were going to swap...Few questions:
1: are the mufflers just bolt ons?
2: are they better for any reason other than sound?
Any input would be cool.
Thanks!

None of the option packages for that car (sport, luxury, etc.) included an exhaust upgrade. If your buddy bought his car used, perhaps the former owner put on an aftermarket (or an f-sport) one.

Look at his exhaust if it all polished then its an aftermarket. Since the oem is a polish tip and black coated muffler.

I got pictures..will post them later.. Its axle back, polished chrome with big cans and tips. They came with his leased is250 on 07. He never did any mods to car. He's giving it back to bank so I'm taking his exhaust. His is also a 3 piece from axle back. Mine is one piece.
No stamps or labels on his or mine at all.
Thanks guys!

He has the Lexus HKS Exhaust... (F-Sport was NOT available in 2007)

It was more than likey Port installed or installed at the dealer before the purchase / lease..

In 2007 and even now, dealerships are having the (back then old Lexus HKS) or NOW F-Sport installed at the Port.

So it's on the window sticker when the car arrives to the dealerships. The window stickers are printed here in the USA.

Yes you can swap exhuasts and yes they will fit on one another easily..

the picture of the smaller diameter exhaust is my friends car with my old exhaust on it.
sounds decent, a little more bass, not much, haven't driven it yet.
going to test drive it to work tomorrow morning.

picture two.. all hung up and assembled on 350
picture three. 250 with my old exhaust on it.

^ Like I said.. You now have the optional and/or accessory exhaust...

In 2007 it was called the "Lexus HKS Sport Exhaust"

It was an option / accessory for all IS Models.
