Yeah I guess that is a drawback of any in-tank pump setup. I suppose trying to keep a 1/2 tank of gas or better all the time and not letting it run to low is about the only option to try and prevent this from happening.
It's hard to judge the size of that collector from the pics, are you mounting it in the engine bay?

my fuel pumps flow test results ..
I don't want to have some problems with pressure deviations on 2 bars of boost .. therefore my choice is denso ..
p.s.: and yes, denso is very quiet pump in all pressure range!

Power wiring under hood ..
connet "+" to alternator (via 200A fuse), starter, fuse box, voltage stubilizer .. "-" to body, engine block, head .. voltage stubilizer installed ..
all wiring 0/1 Ga and 4 Ga (SUN grounding kit) ..
all wiring 0/1 Ga and 4 Ga (SUN grounding kit) ..
