Ive got the RMM and its nice. Not too loud but it has a deep tone to it and there is no low note drone sound when cruising on the h-way.I think there might be mp3's on their site of thier exhaust system sounds, check it out.

I like the Tom's exhaust. It has a very deep tone. No drone on the highway or at cruising. I get more road noise from my tires than from the exhaust. I only wish I could put an MP3 of the exhaust. go to this thread to see some pics

HI98GS~ What did the Tom's unit cost, and where did you get it from? It's a complete catback system, right?

I like the TOM's too but I was told you will lose lots of low end TQ with a cat back system.......

Thumbs up Exhausts

Hey the best Exhausts that I have heard would probally be the
Greddy PE, Magna Flow, Blitz Nur-Spec
I have the Blitz Nur-Spec & love it (Not Loud) jus right. Ya know that low frequency sound Bbbrrruurrr. When my Free-air JL sub hits with a Nice clean bass sound from the inside & a nice tight low frequency bass sound from the Blitz. But dude if I had to try another type it would be the Greddy Performance Exhaust. Nice @as sound real deep & greaty noise.

hope that helps alittle

Paul

Default Another opinion

Some of the guys have mentioned other brands that I haven't heard so I can't comment on them, but I've listened to Borla, L-Tuned and GReddy at a Dallas meet. The Borla was the quietest of those three - yet still sounded nice. Personally, I'd stay away from the L-Tuned - and I've got LT on my GS4 - it sounds great but has an annoying drone at 2k rpms - not just my opinion - do a search and you'll find a bunch of LT owners who also dislike the "drone". I may yet replace my LT with something else.

Your BEST bet is to actually listen - some of the other CA guys would be glad to demo the sounds of their setup. Better yet, go to a meet - don't know where you're located, but there is a meet upcoming at Carson Toyota in LA on Sat. 8/10.

Get a Borla exhaust. Quietest of them all, yet looks GOOD because it fills the stock bumper's exhaust openings perfectly.
Plus it gives notice with its sound that its NOT stock. IMHO

I've personally listened to GReddy PE, APEX WS, APEX universal, L-tuned, Blitz Nur-Spec, Megaflow, RMM, Borla, and other names you've never heard of before on GS3/4.

RMM is quieter than Borla. With Borla, you will have resonance which bugs the hell out of me.

Default Borla too?

RA - so the Borla has the same resonance (we sometimes call "drone") as the L-Tuned? We've had a lot of reports here on the resonance of the LT - but I didn't know the Borla had the same problem???

Default Borla Drone

Garnett92,
I had Borla's for about 2 days. I could not take the drone. At the time, I thought that I was the only one that experienced it because everyone else was posting about how much they liked the Borla's, now everyone is complaining. At startup and WOT I loved the sound but at 1500 - 2000 RPM it was hard to handle. Just my $.02

yes. Borla has "drone". I owned that exhaust for 6 months and ditched it to another exhaust.
