Question Fujita intake question/problem

Just got/installed a fujita intake on my is250.

The small hose coming from the engine that hooks up to the middle of the intake pipe ended up a little too short to reach the pipe... is this normal? Does everyone just go buy a small section of tubing to replace this or what? I ended up using electrical tape ( ) to make it stay and reach, otherwise it would pop off, even with that flimsy little stock clamp.

Any pointers/ideas/suggestions? I got a feeling the tape will melt but i had to run some quick errands so i did what i had to!

Yeah i guess i might just buy a better small hose clamp and call it a day, but the hose is definitely too short

I just put this intake in, i figured out the hose you guys are talkiing about--and the MAF sensor is easy. However where do you mount the mounting point? I cannot figure that out. I have hte long screw with the bushing in it, just don't know where to put it in to keep the intake from wabbling around.

Please help!

you're talking about the vacuum hose? mine fitted just fine. The Fujita intake should've came with a hose clamp. You're not suppose to use the OEM spring clamp.

if its still a bit wobbly. Loosen the clamps on the throttle body and twist the intake until it bolts up well with the screw

that little mounting tab is sorely lacking in my opinion. I would expect that when you buy a $300 piece of pipe that they would have at least engineered a more suitable mounting location.

I guess you dont get much for what you pay for these days.

Also, if your vacuum hose is not long enough, DO NOT STRETCH IT TOO FAR or you will get a cel code (p0101,p0102) caused by a kink when the engine flexes on it mounts.

You can go to any auto parts store and ask for a 180 degree bend heater hose that will be long enough.
