Question F Sport Supercharger IS250

Does anyone think Lexus will come out with a supercharger for the IS250?

I think released engine mod parts will be better. Such as titanium pistons and rods.

Because I currently find from many supplier and the answer was " special order "

Bear in mind the pistons are a specific shape in the 2IS to work with the direct injection system properly and the stratified fuel charge... I'd be very careful about throwing aftermarket pistons in there that haven't already been tested for the application.

Here's some stuff Lobuxracer posted a while back about boosting the 2IS... I've deleted the stuff relevant only to the 350 (the stuff about controlling 12 injectors and port injection stuff mainly) and left the engine-built parts for you:

Unfortunately, that guy is an engineer at Lexus in Japan. Best of luck with that one.

Finally, this is an aluminum block with thin iron sleeves. It would make a lot of sense to hydrostatically test the bores before doing anything else to determine what the maximum allowable cylinder pressure is before the bores go into permanent deformation from being over-pressurized. That will tell you more about what can and can't be done with this engine than anything else (assuming you have an obscene budget for testing and development - if you don't, you're way ahead to just buy the IS-F.)

Sounds like it is what it is. Well, I have heard so many good reviews pertaining to the F-Sport wheels, suspension, and brake upgrades giving as good or better performance than the IS-F with a better ride. So maybe if you want some speed and cornering the best choice is the 350 with some F Sport upgrades. I went with the fuel economy (34.5 mpg on a trip from South FL to Maryland).

The OP is in a country where they don't sell the IS350.

For folks in the US, yeah, it's insane to try and mod a 250 for performance rather than buy a 350. Sadly many other countries don't get that choice.

(I still think it's crazy of em to dump a ton of $ into trying to boost an inherently slow and extremely difficult to mod car, rather than buying something OTHER than an ISx50 to go fast in, but hey, it's their $, and maybe one day one of em will get lucky and make something that genuinely works)
