Default aFe takeda intake install question

so I installed my takeda intake yesterday and today I noticed my check engine light came on and I looked under the hood and one of the hoses was detached from the intake. I keep trying to slide it back on with the clamp but it keeps coming sliding back off. Did anyone else have any problems with this? Did I miss a step during the installation?

Try matching the clamp with the indented groves on the rubber hose

Also, make sure the rubber seal on the MAF sensor is in correctly and snug before screwing it on

Had the same hose pop off on me. I went and got a better hose clamp - the ones that have a screw to tighten the band.

I also had the same problem but solved it with a hose clamp as well. Cheap and gets the job done

best thing to do it all cases is get open mesh sand paper that you use copper pipe and sand it ! that will make it stick to it better !

it sounds great! I used the metal clamps and have had no problems at all since then. I dont have a pro-cam/mic setup to adequately produce a good sound clip but on full throttle the intake sounds amazing. I think I might even be getting better fuel economy too but that is probably just my imagination!
