Default Exhaust

Hey,
I just recently got a 2005 IS 300 and iam wondering what would be a good cat back exhaust for me to get . Iam looking for a deep sporty sound, and as much power gain as possible. If you know of any think let me know .... thanks Mike

there are several exhaust systems available for our car (eg., hks, apexi, tanabe, blitz, borla, etc.)
most are axle-back and do fine in terms of performance
there are only a few full cat-backs
in terms of power gains, you're not talking a great deal of hp increase
typically, it's around 5-9 hp only
so, find something you like in terms of sound and looks and you're good to go

Default Exhaust

Would Greddy be rated up there with these other companies?

yes, Greddy is a great and reputable company.

for the OP, if you want the most HP. I would suggest getting a FULL exhaust header, y-pipe, resonator, exhaust from Mazzuri super. their full exhaust systems put down good number for price. (www.mazzurisuper.com)
but this system is NOT CARB'd. so you risk getting ticketed and not passing smog.

if you really want axle back, just dont expect high HP. i love my HKS CF/Ti with custom blacked out canister face. super stealthy.

I found this while searching youtube trying to find some sounds clips.
They have different exhausts and header combos...even though hearing them thru speakers is lame -_- GL in ur modding!
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/L...ust_108617.htm

They had a couple mazzuri clips on youtube, with different setups. Could you suggest an intake that would go well with the following setup.

Mazzuri Headers and Y-pipe, and a Greddy EVOTT or TI-C Catback.

I love my Greddy Evo II. But I'm thinking of switching to the Greddy Ti-C. I haven't seen anyone with it yet and want to try something different.
