I don't know why you would do that, unless your making over 450-500rwhp... Our Auto Tranny built can hold a good bit of power, and is somewhat dependable.

I would suggest VB upgrade, tranny cooler, and raised stall converter first. Makes a good bit of difference

Hmm, Dan was telling me SRT(maybe ) had a swap kit for the V160....

Maybe it was only for a manual IS...

So you are planning to boost later on?

If so R154 or v160 is a good choice. v160 is expensive though...

If not. Why not a w58 or w55?

yes i want to boost later on. nothing major, just your basic bolt on. i plan to keep it a daily driver. and i heard that if im serious about the swap that the R154 or v160 are the best choice. are the w58 an w55 the stock is300 transmissions?

w55 is stock is300 manual tranny and the w58 is the 5spd from the sc300's and 86-92 non-turbo supras.

Both are not that good for decent amount of power, but around 350ish should be okay with either one. Only reason I suggested them was because they are cheaper and easier to find.

Good luck!

I guess w/e you can get your hands on, but more than likely supra.

This isn't a direct bolt on deal...
