i noticed a popping noise from the exhaust when the car shifts from first to second when i am flooring it and i realized the popping noise was from hitting the rev limiter. it sounds like it bounced off the limiter about 2 times (6100 rpm).
i think this is kind of a related question: what i want to ask is it bad for the car in the long run to have it bounce off the rev limiter?
I have the 3.76 lsd and I do not hit the rev limiter. I do not have FI or TC. One thing I noted before the 3.76 was installed was that my car always seemed to shift a tick after 6,000. Now with 3.76, it shifts right before red line. Had it installed over 2 years now and not once did I ever hit the limiter.
