rev limiter
I've got the SC the 3.76 and the 2800.
It all depends.
If I leave it in second or third gear I will eventually hit the rev limiter.
If I leave in in 5 or drive I might hit the limiter but the gears change so fast to the next gear that it is not noticeable at least to me.
I did not do the pollbecause I could not figure out what to check
I think you need to be looking to getting the tranny to change gears faster

Basically he is looking for a combination of gearing or stall speed that allows the transmission to shift without hitting the rev limiter. Higher gearing allows the engine to wind up faster which may be causing the rev limiter problem. Another issue is stall speed. Higher stall speed means the transmission "slips" unti the engine reaches a higher rpm, so your effective RPM range is smaller. I believe a lower stall speed may help. Usually high stall speeds are associated with drag strip cars, so they can powerbrake and keep the engine in the powerband.

You can and will hit the rev limiter...even with the valve body. The only way to correct the issue is to run a standalone tranny ecu. By the way, hitting the rev limiter in a couple of gears means that you will be shifting at WOT roughly 5 to 7 hundred rpm's earlier to combat the issue......basically shifting early to let the factory ecu catch up and slide the tranny into the next gear. Think about how much money we spend to FI the GS, then think about how much power and time you are losing by shifting early....and guessing when to shift. One word for you....again....ECU!!
