Stock air filter replacement for the 430?

Or one that goes with an HFI system?

I don't think K&N makes a direct replacement for the 430 yet. Thoughts?

As ngl92663 asked for the opinion for GS300, those are my suggestions. I don't think K&N has made an air fliter for GS430 yet but you can always call them and check it out. SRT doesn't use K&N in their GS430 intake.

what do you consider LOW COST? It's different for everyone. I consider something around 200~300 to be a low cost performance mod, while many others can spend money on a supercharger with no problem

Try intake system. That should be around 300 bucks. Other things you can try are pulleys, camgears, Air/Fuel Controllers (like S-AFC from APEXi) but although these parts don't cost much, installation will rip your wallet apart.

Exhaust is nice too.

The CHEAPEST way to make your car go faster is......... to rip out EVERY LITTLE THING you don't need on ur car. Meaning you''ll be riding without an interior, without anything else, sitting on a piece of metal bar. If you can take out a few hundred pounds around the car that'll make a big difference.

but you wouldn't do that, would u?

Globe..

OK..I took out all my seats and the center console and the car is faster but i slide around alot on the bare metal floor...should i get astroturf put down?

Seriously though...I am not to much into performance but would spend around $ 500.00 if I could get some real results without affecting the interior noise. I just have no clue on what where to start...

[OK bit - restrain yourself with this incredibly vague question]

What do you mean by 'performance'? Go faster?? Handle better?? Going faster with the same handling might not be good unless you only car about straight lines.

I enjoy handling so the L-Tuned springs/shocks upgrade is a $550+install change which makes the car much more fun to drive.

Other than that, I don't know anything for $500 which will make any significant difference.

unless you can afford 650, which will give you the straight line performance....

sorry bit we don't see eye to eye here......

please don't hurt me sir... its just that i think that all cars need some basic power mods, and this gs is a good turner stock... right? WHY ARE YOU HURTING ME?????? STOP!!! THE PAIN!!!!!!

haha, i think i need some sleep....

SRT intake? That should run around the 700 or 800 dollar pricerange and that will give you some beef for faster acceleration.

Right, but he said you can't increase interior noise either, so the intake's out.

Hey, how about hiring some dudes to push the car from behind? Should be good for quick starts anyway.

in that case, get a nice pair of earplugs because even if a mod doesn't add any noise, the speed will give you windnoise.

picky. I guess TC won't increase any noise but it's for sure over $500.
