How many people want a TC in the GS430 But don't wan't the check engine light?

 

Count me in as one who wants the TC, but no CEL problems.

 

I am currently searching for one of these cars and will "have one of these cars" but this is one of my concerns. So basically count me in.

 

Me too. CEL is a big turn off.

Rominl: I went to a place in New Jersey who know our cars. They said the reason the CEL comes on is becuase of the higher stall speed. 1800- 2000 stock 2500-2800 new TC. The computer thinks that the trans is slipping becuase of the stall speed. They say they can programm the computer for the new stall speed. Therefore NO CEL! But for a Custom PI Billet TC Install and Program Compter (I believe he said a tranny cooler also). They want $1800 But I saw the shop ,quality of work and there reputation and I will do it mid winter. First an Supra LSD Brand New (good price too!) goes in with in the month.

 

very interesting, so that means they know how the computer on the car works? i thought no one has cracked it down fully yet. but it's good to know
