Got my Precision industries Torque converter installed! Very noticable difference off the line and from a roll. I cant imagine the 3.76 lsd with it..that must be so fun.
Do alot of you guys just by pass the radiator when you do the Trans cooler? Awesome mod really woke my GS430 up!
Keep your fingers crossed on the check engine light, sometimes they don't come on until after a few hunderd miles, it's a tossup on the 430, just pull the bulb if so, enjoy.
Strange 5 other people told me to by pass it... your the only one who said to still use it...hmmmm
No light!!
There is nothing wrong with bypassing. I ran it that way for awhile but eventually ran it inline with the radiator. Why? Because you'll get more fluid capacity AND you'll get additional cooling from both the aftermarket cooler and the auxilary cooler. Plus when your car is in traffic and the temperature gets hot, the radiator fan will kick in and that will help remove a bit of heat from the aux. cooler.

I have read and my shop that did the install told me the same thing. Their take on by-passing the radiator was because you don't want the excess heat from the engine re-heating your tranny fluid even more. Maybe the engine temps get hotter than your tranny temps??? Not sure though, but mine seems to be fine for having it almost a year with "fun" driving!

This is only the case if you put the aftermarket cooler BEFORE the radiator. If you do this, the cooler fluid temperature will be heated up by the radiator. Put the cooler AFTER the radiator and the cooler would do it's job and cool down the fluid before it reaches the tranny again.
