SRT Intake/ECU Worth it?
Hey guys, I know I've seen threads about the SRT package, but I'm wondering if people are happy overall after purchasing it. Seat of the pants feel? Actual HP made? I have looked at the dyno sheets on SRT's website, but I question how real it could be....it is afterall an intake system. Also, I may be able to get some of you a deal on this package as a fried of mine is an SRT dealer. If I do this system, I will most likely do an exhaust at the same time or soon after, and I'm also curious if you guys have actually felt any difference at all besides sound.

here is my expiriance with the kit in the Dominican Republic with hot weather and bad fuel..
I'm very happy with the filter and the race ecu. It took me about an 1hr-1.30h to install. When I first tested the car to tell the truth I did not like it that much. The sound was ok , but was no sure If i liked it. I left it on for a couple of days and the car just changed especially at night when the cooler air is around. Until 3000 RPM or so i found a little dip in the torque ( some say is because of my lack of exhaust system, which make sense, but well see when I get mine) but from there on I found that the vvti kicks in ( i think) and you can defenately feel the difference. and the sound also got better, giving a deep v8 sound but not too loud. but If you really want a to feel the difference!! get the kit and also get the Supra lsd unit. That will improve your car in every ways....... exept fuel economy........
If it does not rain I'm goin to the track this saturday and I'll let you kwon my time with my upgrades and I'm going to get some vp fuel and see waht happens if you want....

I would agree. It certainly adds HP and TQ. Put another way, I once ran a Boxster S from 65-??? and beat is soundly several times. Without it, I was dead even with one at around the same speeds. It will also add a ,"do not *&^*&^ with me" sound to the car. This could be good or bad.

That SRT intake sounds like pure SEX on your car bluelex, i love the way that 2jz sounds with it. My friend has an is300 with the srt intake/hks super dragger exhaust. Best sounding car i've ever heard.
It's almost the reason i might choose a gs300 over the 430, that inline 6 snarls like no other.
Now i just need to hear the 430 with the SRT.
