I believe wickedsc is running a combo between ge and gte, can't remember if it was the head or block from the ge that he's got though...

The FFIM is a plus but from the info i got the ge and the gte blocks are the same minus a couple small things. It would also cost less. I would just need the complete head and turbos and wiring harness, etc. Ive seen already on the supra forum the guy who have done and no complaints. Just wondering which SC guys have it here and if any complaints so far..

yeah so that's not relevant at all then...

but seriously i think with all the work it would take to remove the head from the block and install all the gte parts and head back on (and considering you would still have all the same wiring mods to do as a normal gte swap) I think the labor and cost of parts would pretty much even out with just pulling the whole engine as one unit and dropping a full gte in. So unless you have a blown head... or you want to build a head and then swap it... i'd say just swap the whole longblock for gte. However if you're already going single and you can pick up a built head off supraforums or from titan etc... then for the most part (as far as power concerns go) it shouldn't make a diffence if there's a ge or gte block in there.... of course at that point and with all that labor... why wouldn't you change your (most likely old and worn out) shortblock for a newer one... like a brand new gte block...
