Default Need help!

So tonight driving to my parents house my battery light starts randomly flashing. I have a 93 sc400 with almost 200k. My dad hooked up his battery tester and it was fluctuating from mid 12 volts all the way up to 16 volts. We're thinking it might be the voltage regulator, alternator, or grounds. We saw no leaks from the power steering. Anyone have any ideas?

most likely its the alternator, but check your battery connections anyway....and ensure a good ground from battery to engine and engine to body. And I have seen some cars at the shop fluctuate like that because of a faulty PCM.....
