My battery indicator light is on. I checked my belt and it's tight. I don't wanna take it to an independent shop until I check it so I need yourr help on what to look for. Money is tight so please help. Appreciate it!

 

Battery indicator light being on can mean your alternator is not charging the battery.

Go to autozone where they can check your alternator for free. Just tell them to check out the alternator . If alternator is not charging the battery , soon you will have a dead battery.

I just had my battery tested and its measured 362 cold cranking amps it is rated at 625 cold cranking amps and it says battery replacement is highly recommended. A starter test shows the voltage is 11. 30 volts and 53.2A. I unplug the positive cable from my battery while the car is running and it died. What does it say battery replacement or alternator replacement?

 

Time for a new alternator, E36M3.
