2JZGTE into SC400 with MK3 R154....driveshaft query
As the title states what Ive been doing, Ive read there is a few members that "think" the SC400 driveshaft will be ok.
My question is, will the SC400 auto driveshaft be usable with the MK3 R154 bolted to my 2JZGTE?
EDIT: The MK3 R154 is from a 1JZGTE motor
Thanks guys

EDIT: Never mind, I understand what your saying.
If I do that, will the length be long enough?

Ok, the d/s. Here are some uncommon facts
The auto front half of the SC3 is the same as the R154 front half. However, the length is different.
There ARE differences (it could be year, it could be model, idk) between the rear halves of the W58 from the SC3 5 speed and the SC3 auto. It has been documented by several people as well as myself. Some have claimed just swapping the front half of the d/s has worked perfect. However, ALL OF THEM have been previously 5 speed, so that leads me to believe that there is a difference.
The SC4 d/s will not work for a number of reasons, so don't try.

I am in a similiar problem. all these guys say to put the mk3 turbo half shaft, but i have a couple problems with that.
1. the spindle part of it that attaches to the body makes the shaft sit lower and that is going to throw the angles all off.
2. its heavy as ****
SOLUTION:
call a driveline shop. a place that specializes in drive shafts and have them lengthen yours. for me it will work because i have a 92 sc300 auto and the splines are the same. I hope it will work for you if not i would say get a sc300 auto half shaft and lengthen that.

Do your self a favor and get the one piece from Driftmotion.com. 600 with the 4 hole flange, got a year ago and ouldn't be happier. tried to make mine work, it was short 2 inches and couldn't be extended because of the way it was made........
