Default Need Help/Ideas with Possible Spark Plug Hole Stripped!

The last time I changed spark plugs, the number one plug never got to torque specs. It started to tighten but the torque stayed the same for about a 1/3 to a 1/2 of a turn. Basically I started getting very nervous and decided to quit while I was ahead.

That was about 50K miles ago and haven't had any problems. However, I'm approaching the time to change the plugs again and got to believe I'll find a problem with this spark plug hole.

Does anyone know of an option, other than replacing the cyl head, if the plug hole is stripped? I'm thinking of just changing the other 7 plugs and leaving this one alone. Any ideas or first hand experience to share?

i had a friend that did the same thing, he stripped one of the holes for his sparkplug. Im not sure if there is a place around where you live, but my friend took it to a local shop here in cali, they re-threaded the hole and it was good as new. He paid $50 to get it done. Check around for a shop or even ask some aftermarket parts store around your area, they might know a place. Im sure many people run into same problems. Good luck.
