Default 5 Speed Auto Tranny

Has anyone swapped in the 2J 5 speed auto tranny into their SC300? If so, could you provide a brief description of what was involved, ECU wise?

The Aristo tranny should bolt up to the SC300, since they both have 2J engines. The issue that I'm trying to address is not a matter of bolting up...but a matter of tranny ECU compabilities.

Hasn't anyone done a tranny swap?

5spd auto? All our trannys are 4spd automatics. Unless your thinking 5spd manual?

On another note why would you want to put a 5spd auto in the Sc300?

Tranny swap of a 5 speed auto from a 98+ GS300. Why a 5 speed, for the practical purpose of high speed, at a lower rev, than a 4 speed.

Seems like a waste of time and money imo.

Sorry to sound redunant by why do you want to put a stock gs 5spd auto in the sc3? Trying to figure out what your thought is.

Why a 5 speed? For the purpose of a lower rev, than a 4 speed, at higher speed.

Hmmm... On a stock car I doubt that'd make much of a difference but If your that concerned about running lower rpms change out your rear end gear much easier.

If you really want to do that swap you'll be swapping ecu's out and probably a little bit of wiring. Less hassle putting it in a 98+ Sc300 probably anything earlier I believe your gonna be running into some problems. Definitely check driveshaft length to since all Sc300's came with the 4spds.
