So this happens fairly often at different ChargePoint chargers. It starts charging and within 15-30mins it stops drawing power then I get a notification from the ChargePoint app that it’s not detecting power draw. The app and the charger itself says “Charging Complete” but it will start charging again like 30mins later while both say the “Charging Complete” still. Anyone else experience this?
I had issues to charge at pubblic charge point, this winter, due missed start of session from car, with no Green light on, even if trying several times.
Last graphs from public charge point were always showing an high peak at each start of session, with low temperature below 50°F.
My 450h+ is a MY2022 and was Waiting for DC to DC free recall campaign actuation.
Domestic charge was always OK, with not any issue.
After Recall applied, i can recharge at public charge poi ts, but EV range is always from 75 to 78 km.
So well below the former 83 to 85 km.
The high peak at start is again present.
I hope that overnight domestic recharging sessions will brings back the EV range up to 90 to 93 km as former outcome during Summer period. Public charge point Type 2: Charging session graph with high Power peak at start.
1) new Level 2 charger over the old Level 1 charger, new app with more detail of status
2) with the old charger, I was waiting until about 8pm to start charging. but since the new charger is faster, I was plugging in right away with plans to unplug before going to sleep
3) weather is getting warmer
I'm going to try the following for a bit and see what happens:
1) plug in when I get home
2) don't let the chargepoint start charging until later (9 or 10pm)
curious if that's enough time to let the car/battery cool off or if still with the fast charging, there will need to be a delayed start.

Whew a lot of work and planning which is why I love my 4 Toyota/Lexus hybrids ...NO plug-in worries. I did have to put a trickle charger on my performance car because its just sits their appreciating most of the time, right now it is worth what I paid for it in 2018
This is my level 1 charging chart. There are times where it will dip.
I don't see this as an issue. The car is doing something - could be cooling down the battery or heating it up or pausing to ensure destination time is as close as possible. This chart is with the new DC-DC.
As a new NX owner and a previous Nissan Leaf owner for five years, I am deeply disappointed with the charging experience. Picture this: I’m on a waitlist for a charger, and when it's finally my turn to charge for the next three hours, I discover that the charger was idle for 30% of the allocated time. It's incredibly frustrating and inefficient. I did not have such issue with Nissan Leaf, a much cheaper car.

I never seen your issue before. You can see my charging at a public station and it's all good. If you see this trend, you should reach out to your dealership to see why.

I know this is an old thread but wanted to check in about this issue. I also have an 2024 RX 450H+. I do believe I read somewhere that the intermittent stops is intentionally due to the Battery Management System (BMS) where if the battery reaches a certain temperature, the fan will kick in and the charging will temporarily stop until the battery is cooled down. I have verified that the fan kicks in while charging, and at times, I’ve also seen the charging stop (also using a L2 ChargePoint at 7.5 Kw)

Just last week, I noticed this same behavior. I could hear the fan running and then moments later the fan stopped and the charging on my L2 6.6 Kwh charger stopped as well. I unplugged and re-plugged the charger to restart the charging process. Once I did this, the car charged to full capacity before stopping. I wonder if it is because we start charging right after parking the car in the garage, and the battery pack might be still warm from use. We usually don't wait to see if charging automatically restarts or not. We typically unplug and re-plug the charger within 30 mins after receiving notification that charging had spontaneously stopped on its own.

I believe it is. Checked in with a Lexus Specialist YouTuber who knows everything about Lexus, and she said the same thing about a battery management system to protect the battery’s longevity due to overheating. I did see a setting in the Lexus about Battery management. I will take a screenshot and show here.
Update: Here is the setting about the Battery Cooling. Haven’t tested it with it turned off yet, but I suspect this is what is monitoring the battery’s temperature and stopping it (cooling it down) during charging if it detects it getting too hot. I recommend leaving it on though.
I am experiencing something similar, but it only began happening after I installed a non-Lexus app to control charging. Prior to installing the second app, there were no interruptions in charging.
As background, I am only using the supplied Lexus L1 charger, with charging scheduled to begin at 12am (I am on a tiered PG&E rate plan with the lowest kWh between 12am-3pm). Prior to installing a second app, charging began as expected at 12am and continued without interruption until the vehicle reached full charged sometime that morning. However, after I began using the MCE app (in order to take advantage of a $50 signup bonus and ongoing $10 per month bonuses for "low carbon" events), while the car starts at 12am, it will stop and start charging several times over the course of the early morning until it reaches full charge. The MCE app only allows setting a "ready by" time, so I chose 6am. Even though six hours is sometimes not enough time to reach full charge on L1, it seems to continue beyond 6am if needed.
My theory is that using a second app to control charging doesn't play nicely with the onboard settings. The MCE app recommends not setting a schedule with the onboard settings, but when I did that, the car would start charging shortly after plugging it in. But, at the same time, the Lexus app would show charging scheduled to begin at 1:20am, which seemed to contradict the start-charging-on-plug-in that was happening. I also tried changing the on-board settings to sync with "ready by" time in the MCE app, but the same 1:20am "start time" would appear in the Lexus app.
I don't think anyone mentioned if they had used the on-board settings to schedule a "ready by" or "start by" charge time, but perhaps playing around with the on-board scheduling setting might help?
