With the new application I can not close my rear hatch door, can anyone else? When I leave it open and press the LOCK icon I get a message back that the trunk hatch can't be locked because it is open. Yet I can use my fab remote button to close it. It seems they are missing the function to close and lock the rear hatch.

Am I missing something?

 

I was going to do a video on this one. Just haven't got to it yet. Press the lock button and step back a bit.. it will close. While closing if you get close, it will stop closing....

I believe the OP is talking about the Trunk Lock / Unlock buttons on the Advanced Controls of the app and the fact that there is no Close Trunk button... I don't see the benefits of locking unlocking ONLY the trunk. IMHO Lexus should have made those buttons open / close the trunk plus unlock / lock it at same time instead of just lock / unlock...

 

The trunk lock/unlock buttons just duplicate the original lock/unlock buttons. There is no difference and yes, it does not make sense. I agree they should be open and close trunk/hatch.

I don’t think Lexus has a way for customers to submit constructive feedback for things like this which is very unfortunate because I think they could really improve upon their product by listening to their customers.

 

Same thing for trunk lids on the sedans. You can open with the fob or dash button but you cannot close the trunk lid, not even from the dash.

The remote window open but cannot remote close windows in the US.

 

LSFT is correct, unlike previous hatch (Power Back Door PBD in Lexus-speak) closing with
the fob remotely, the 2022 NX will chime when you press the fob button but will not begin to
move until you move out of the way. Lots of new safety features debut with this model such
as the driver's and passenger doors will not swing open if a bicycle or car is approaching from
behind. As with the various cameras, Dynamic speed control, Lane Trace now with Oncoming
car and pedestrian avoidance that have come out I think we are all Beta Testing systems for
the eventual Autonomous Driving cars. Early Google cars were RX 450h's remember?

 

I have searched and looked for videos on the fix for this. Yesterday my Lexus trunk stopped closing automatically. I checked the settings inside on the console. When I click the button to close there are 2 beeps and nothing happens. In addition, the close trunk and lock feature does not work as well. it just gives 2 beeps. Any suggestions please?

 

Do you have the keys inside the trunk?

 

Yes, this, or if the keys are too close to the trunk area (or in the hand you use to press the buttons on the hatch) will often result in nothing happening.
