Any recommendation for dash cam?
It's actually not a hard to remove and install. The clips are actually very flexible and not as easy to break. The quality of the fitcamx is better than the genuine dashcam. In fact, to install the genuine dashcam you need to remove the A pillar, the side of the dash to wire the cable behind the glove compartment. That's actually more things to go wrong.
I've always been as proponent of not spending a ton of money on dashcams and I don't think they're worth more than $200-250 CAD. Spending $800 on a dashcam is a waste of money IMHO. But each to his own.

That's interesting! So you'd rate the FitCamX that high? That's good then. I don't have it but I want really sure about it. I have a Thinkware which is decent. For the price it currently is available at with a Black Friday sale, then it is indeed worth considering for those who need one.

Trying to figure out if my premium NX 450+ (non F sport model) is compatible with this camera. I have a digital rearview mirror and the Fitcam seller on Amazon comments that the Fitcam is compatible with this digital mirror. Is this the reference to the "Model B" that is referred to on the 450+ in the specs? I cannot find anything on the internet that tells me the difference from an NX450+ Model A versus Model B.

You can see how it fits in my video. You need to buy the one that says 2022-2023 NX. Not the NX Model A or B.
The 2022 and 2023 is the same. The clip positions are the same place. The only difference is the ones with digital rearview mirror will did to cut the opening larger. If you watched my video, you would see how it was done.

They will not be creating different parts for different models. It's the same for NX250,350,350H, 450H+. If they make one part for just one model, they are going to go bankrupt. You think they had an NX450h+ in their installation video?
As for your video, you did a review on NX450h which they listed as a compatible model. They did not have 2023 NX 350h listed specifically even though NX 350 is listed. This tells me they did not have any confirmation that it is compatible with that model. If they have the confirmation on compatibility, they should update it in their product description.
You said in your video that you are not paid to do the product review. Did they send it to you for free? I know there are many product suppliers reach out to YouTubers and send products to them for free to review. Some of those videos can be biased as supplier would expect a positive review.
You are right that it would be costly to create different parts on different models. I was just asking to see if there is a possibility that there maybe subtle differences in different packages for the same model.

They sent me the product to review and I had to pay customs for it to review. The dashcam is still connected to my car and if it was that bad, it wouldn't be still there. In fact, they did not request a positive review. If you have concerns, you don't have to buy it. Nobody is forcing you into it.
The model will work for all NXs. There are other owners who have installed it with 350, 350h vehicles. If you go to their website you will see it says 2022-2023 NX.

Like I said before, I don’t think I see a review that includes live detailed prying part.
I see that they tried to include all models. It is nice to receive a free unit that worth $200 to do a review despite you only had to pay customs. It is definitely one’s choice to keep it or return it as the guy in post #50 or #51 didn’t have a good review.

Again, you don't need to buy it if you don't feel it's right for you. No one is forcing you into it. There are tons of options out there are better options depending on your wants.
Unfortunately, he did get the first generation of the cover which required a cutting. Well the $200 camera is something I'm willing to pay since my Lexus camera cost almost $600.

There are videos showing some units’ power diverted are defective and will cause LTA issues and more. I guess you didn’t experience that.
Have you checked with the dealership to see if the installation would void the warranty since you do have to divert the power from the adaptive cruise control sensor? Essentially, you have modified the electronics component of your vehicle by doing so.

1. It’s reversible. You don’t like it or somehow have issues (which you won’t) you unplug it and that’s it.
2. It does not register a log of any sorts on the ECU as the car doesn’t even detect it
3. Look up the official Toyota Integrated Dash Cam and the installation pdf for that. You’ll see that the “official” Toyota dash cam sources power via the absolute same method.
I’ve had a FitCamX installed in two vehicles now for over a year with 0 issues at all. Lane Tracing Works the same. Automatic High Beams works the same. And Pre Collision works the same.
Also, as a side note, the camera you are sourcing power from has 0 to do with adaptive cruise control. That function is solely controlled by the sensor behind the Lexus logo which gauges distance between vehicles. The cameras function is solely pre collision, automatic high beams, and lane tracing assist and centering.
There is absolutely 0 chances that this voids any warranty on the vehicle for a number of reasons.

This is what Fitcamx on their website;
“FITCAMX dash cam has brand-new methods for power from Adaptive cruise control (ACC) sensor with hidden wiring and easy installation with the method of plug to plug. No need to remove A-pillar and connect the car fuse box and the cigarette lighter.”
Check out this video, there are comments saying defective units can have adverse effects causing few other malfunctions including LTA. One comment said he has to bring the vehicle back for a reset. I can’t confirm if it is really an issue though.
