I bought the FitCamX. I emailed support and they sent me the videos links below. The trick on the 450h is to remove the top plastic first.
The unit is good and works. I bought the front unit only. The downside is downloading the videos can take a while and when running on electric the car shutdown before the videos finish, so I wind up turning the engine on.
The videos look like the entire task is 5 minutes. It took me an hour - I kept double checking all the settings.
Funny story - after I installed it the videos had a blue shade on them. I emailed support and they told me the camera has a blue sticker on it. Sure enough after I removed it the image was much better.

I received my unit today and installed it. It took me about 45 minutes. The unit works fine. However there are a few quirks... The plastic cache which goes around the mirror shaft (see picture) does not have a hole big enough to fit! It should be as per the dotted red line. I had to use the original Lexus part instead but it does not fit as tight with the new lower cache that the one provided in the package. I guess I could try to modify it but not sure it would look good. The space is not that big but I notice it (most people would likely mot see it). Or maybe this is on purpose and the cover has to slide underneath the base of the rear view mirror shaft instead of around it as on the original part? Have you found the same thing on yours?
When I tried to connect to the "CAR" networlk to see the video it would not work (Android). I then realized that Android Auto was trying to connect automatically as well and was disconnecting me from the Cam wifi... I had to disconnect the temporary wifi network connection Android Auto creates each time one enters the car (Smartphone_conect_xxxxxxxx) and then the connection to the FitcamX worked.
I found that the hardest part was to find the proper spot to pack the extra wires without protruding. I did put them just at the the top and to the right of the centre. Overall I am pleased with the unit and the quality of the video is very good. Gap visible between front and rear unit.
UPDATE: I contacted the seller in China regarding the plastic part's hole not fitting and they replied this: " this plastic part is updating its design will send you the updated one after finished"

I was pretty convinced I am going to return mine. Your post really helped me make that decision 100%. Back to China it goes.

Get a BlackVue battery. I have 2 of them (front and rear cameras). 50 hours recording in park mode. And never have to worry about drained car battery.

Sorry that it does not work well for you. I will definitely keep mine. The video quality is good and it works. It does not have a perfect fit but it is close enough to be "acceptable". It looks way better than my previous on-windshield dashcam which suction cup was falling off when I parked too long in the sun and it does not obstruct the visibility. So, it is not perfect but it is still very good IMHO.

i received this response from the seller on Amazon.
Sorry this dash cam does not fit the model with a digital rearview mirror now. (The new dash cam model is in development.)

I got a similar reply: " this plastic part is updating its design will send you the updated one after finished". I am not holding my breath that they will actually send me the part but I will keep asking from time to time!
Just received an email from FITCAMX and they said the re-designed plastic cover for Digital Rearview Mirror is now available and they will send me one to try. I hope this will fix the problem. I will post some pictures when I install it into my car.
Does installing the fixcam void the warranty or anything I should be concerned about? I am always weary of installing third party items that make use of the power source from existing sensors/camera modules.
I believed they also sell hard wire or OBD connection kit... if you are not comfortable connecting FITCAMX to the windshield sensor (warranty/functionality of the sensor) as per video shown in the post, you can use this alternate method.

Great! I hope they send mine soon as well...
UPDATE: just got a message, mine is in the mail as well! Great service from an Aliexpress seller.
What are the chances that a "recording" feature will be made available with one of future OTA updates ? Considering that there are all these cameras on this car, why not use them (cloud or local storage).
Is this a possibility or am I waaay off?
Looking forward to hearing others opinion
Picked up our new 450h+ 2 days ago. The Lexus technician who oriented us to our vehicle mentioned that Lexus was planning on a software update that would enable us to record, capture, and retain videos from the existing front and rear cameras. If so, this would seem to make aftermarket installed dashcams redundant. I asked when this was planned and he mentioned Summer 2022, July or thereabouts. I have not been able to confirm this. It would be great if others talked with their Lexus technicians to see if there is any truth to this rumor.
