I purchased the same Fitcamx from Aliexpress.com. It is listed on Amazon.ca but it does not seem available for sale as there is no price listed. I contatced Fitcamx in the US and they told me all orders are shipped from China anyway. They do have a store on Aliexpress so I ordered from there. I hope the installation is as easy as they show on their video! Here is the direct link for Fitcamx on Aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...rch-mainSearch

I received mine a few days ago, and the installation wasn't hard. I would say that it fits pretty well, and so far I am pretty happy with it.
What are the chances that a "recording" feature will be made available with one of future OTA updates ? Considering that there are all these cameras on this car, why not use them (cloud or local storage).
I have wondered the same. Bunch of cameras.
Exposing the video could be a feature.
I "think" I saw somewhere that they even store some video so they can do some analysis (if you opt in to allow it).
Makes me wonder if someone could create an adapter to tap into the existing ODBII diagnostic port in some way to leverage this.
I can imagine the lawyers would have a field day if someone tampered with a safety feature (like cameras) and something happened.
But if it was diagnostic black/box type historical info, hard to imagine that would compromise a safety feature.

Is this a possibility or am I waaay off?
Looking forward to hearing others opinion
I wonder how much buffer it has to store videos, but I do think that this could work.
I ordered the Fitcamx for 2022 NX from Amazon on March 23rd. The company wrote me on the Amazon website and asked me to confirm the model by sending them pictures of the two plastic covers (upper and lower). I removed them and sent them pics. After that, they shipped the product from China and I received it on April 14th. Their unit comes with an upper and lower cover. The lower cover contains the dashcam. The upper cover is identical to the original.
The installation videos on their website were only somewhat helpful. The car they used did not match my car which has a front collision camera and processor that sits under the lower cover. Their installation video wants you to remove the main overhead light and moon roof control unit and plug in their wire harness to that head unit. But that is not where it plugs in. It plugs into the front collision camera processing unit which is a grey box that sits to the right of the mirror stem. The harness then can be fitted underneath the plastic cover that sits between the upper mirror stem cover and the main head unit. Lucky for me I never took out the main overhead unit. It did take some fiddling to get the wiring harness and camera cable to sit flush under the small "in-between" cover. See photo. Arrow points to that cover.
Even after all that fiddling, the upper and lower cover does not quite seat properly, but it does stay in place. You can see a gap in the picture.
My suggestion to anyone trying this is to remove the "in-between" plastic cover first, then remove the upper and lower covers.

Good luck.

Which 2022 NX you have? For me I followed their video instruction on youtube:
I have a 450h+ with all of the packages and it is definitely not like that video. The difference may be that I have the digital review view mirror and panoramic view monitor.

Very interesting! I think it's probably the digital rearview mirror thing because I don't have that on my NX and the digital mirror definitely needs power etc.

Can't speak for the NX, but in the Highlander with the Digital Rear View Mirror, people had to trim a piece of the cover from the FitCamX. Eventually they realized and they released a refreshed version that had more room for the wires for the digital rear view mirror. Reach out to them and let them know so they can work on something like that for the NX. Perhaps in their part of the world (China) they don't offer it with a digital rear view mirror which is why it wasn't designed to accommodate it. I was shocked to see that in the video it actually didn't even have an auto-dimming mirror.
I had downloaded the video from their website and it was showing the removal of the lights/moon roof switch console to connect the power, not connecting into the front collision camera processing unit behind the mirror. I think it's a generic video as it applies to NX/RX. Your uploaded video is specific to the 2022 NX only and is very different. This is the one that should apply to my 450h+ with video mirror... My unit is stuck at Customs right now, hopefully should have it within a week or so.
This is what the plastic cover in my car looks like:
