Max EV only range in NX 450h+

The official EV only range in NX 450h+ is advertised as 36 Miles, however I am getting ~40 miles (displayed) consistently when fully charged. In different Rav4 Prime XSE forums, owners have reported 50+ miles EV only range (officially 42 miles for 2021 model and 38 miles for 2022 models).

Wanted check how much EV only range other 450h+ owners are getting?

I am under the impression that all EV range varies by many conditions. Weather being a big one. If you are getting 40+ I would be pretty happy with that. Accessories running or not, throttle position, stop and go or continuous speed etc. I'm sure you will from time to time get ~50 and other times maybe only 30.

I have been getting about 41-42 miles EV only on a full charge here in Los Angeles, CA.

That's nice. Hope we will see around 50 mark in summer.

I wonder if we shouldn't charge it to full 100% if we don't need the full charge on daily use.

I had the same question. But I also thought that they have 10%-90% already accounted for. If you don't need to full range, I think it would be fine. Do we have any battery experts and best practices?

I have posted this on another thread, very informational about gas and EV best practices. He refers to the rav4 prime, but as we know the prime and nx450 share the same drivetrain.

I am getting 49 miles on charge. what's the highest anyone has ever got? I live in the Bay Area. mostly to SF and back. mine is a 2023 450. I guess this is all weather related?

I think you left out the part you drive like a grandma going down hill to get that 49 miles, whether it be actual miles or miles showing on the guess-o-meter

The best I ever got was 84.1 km (actual driven kms). Which translate to 52 miles on a single charge. There are some people who could get more as it really depends on you driving up hill or down hill or flat land. Weather, speed and how aggressive you drive all are factors to the actual miles you get. On the weekend after a full charge, I drove highway 90% of my drive and driving 120-135km/hr and I drove 40.6km with only 15km left. So only 55km at that speed.

LOL! that's what my kids says. So far the battery never goes back down. it will charge to the same amount each time. have had the car 4 months. it just keeps expanding.

If the weather is around 70-80 degrees, mine shows 51 miles when fully charged, and actually gets upper 40's, maybe even 50. Last winter, it was upper 30's.
