Default 2012 RX350 with high miles

I am contemplating purchasing an 2012 Lexus RX 350 with 132k miles. I think the miles are high for an 2012 model, I believe/hope the miles are mainly highway miles.

Opinions? Experience with High miles RX’s?

12 000 miles/year is considered average. 7 x 12= 84 000 miles. yeah, it's been around.
City or HWY miles - what's the difference? What matters is how well car was maintained.
Otherwise, 132 000 miles is not that many, actually. especially, if you were to get DEAL.

I am not asking, what is the difference. I am saying - it's commonly believed bunk about HWY vs other miles. Maintenance. Only that matters.

Yeah, I'd love to see any data you have to back that up. Short drives without letting the engine warm up will absolutely cause more wear and tear on an engine than sitting at 65 on the highway for long periods of time.

Cruising at highway speeds causes way less wear and tear than stop and go city traffic. Highway cruising gives the engine and oil time to warm up and function at their optimum.

Besides that, there is less wear on the transmission. I think a common yardstick is 1:5 or 1:10 for city to highway miles (1 mile of city driving is equal to 5-10 miles of highway driving)

What are you seeing on pricing here? Just curious whether the RX depreciates enough when mileage > 100k

Thnx

Mine is a 2010 with 225k miles. All routine maintenance.

That car has at least another 100k miles in it.
