I got the Draw-Tite #76201 hitch installed two days ago and it's not bad. you DO need to drop the exhaust in order to bolt the hitch though. BTW, U-haul website has the same hitch available for 2022 Lexus NX series now. so folks can just go ahead order the hitch and get it installed there. their price is quite good.
Yup. I just did a DIY install on my 2022 NX 450h+ I ordered it from eTrailer.com and paid just over $200. Shipping was free but their packaging sucks. It busted through the box and got a little scraped, but there was no structural damage. I sprayed some black enamel on the scratches. It's pretty heavy and needed a little help to get it lifted and positioned but in all, it took only an hour. I did have to drop the exhaust (2 sides and middle rubber mounts) per the instructions. I did not need the crowfoot socket. My short 19mm socket and Craftsman torque wrench fit fine.
Same exact experience and results as @cmsnow3 above. eTrailer needs to up their packing, we had a few scuffs too. Like all others, removed 3 exhaust mounts and bolted it right in.
Anyone know how to turn off the loud beep when backing up with a hitch?
So I just scheduled a hitch installation at Uhall for my 350H and the price comes to $444. Part number appears to be Curt part #CQT76201. Price $289 + installation. There is no option for alternative hitches. What’s up with that?
Finally got around to installing the Draw-Tite hitch yesterday. 20 mins... riiiiight. I had to do a few "mods", which included a lot of 4-letter words.
Some "advanced" ramps made of what I had in the shed
Removed the original tow point and re-installed the bolts
Impressed with how stout that tow point was. Into the "Auto Parts" bin it goes
I did find that lower the exhaust was mandatory. Channel locks to remove the hangers and bungies to support the exhaust
The hitch balanced on the floor jack well enough
My issues started when I tried to raise the hitch, and it was about 1/2" narrower than the frame rails!
Redneck Engineer ingenuity...
Torqued and bolted up...
It does sit up nice and tight behind the plastic fascia
Driver's side
Buttoned up with exhaust hangers back in place
Not "beautiful" but better than most of the aftermarket hitches I've seen (or the Lexus activity mount for that matter)
Sitting back on the ground, the bottom of the hitch is right at 12"

Did you need the wiring harness? U-Haul is charing $270 with installation for the same part, so I think that's a great price.
Well, they're supposed to deactivate the kick sensor, but they didn't and it still works. It's a setting that you can activate and deactivate yourself in the infotainment display. You'd obviously want to just be really careful to not forget about it if something is mounted on the back and pop the trunk with it on there or you'd be visiting a bodyshop or looking at some unsightly marks on the gate for years.
Yes, you can't tow anything with the activity mount. It's strictly for bike racks. If you want to tow, you'd need to get the other option which I don't think is available yet. That
I'm sure will cost more, but will give you the ability to tow something small and will allow for an electrical hook up for lights.
I hope we could use the same hitch for towing. We just need to install some other stuff for the engine, right? In addition, I am trying to understand this. Toyota designed the kick sensor. Then they design a place for a hitch that causes the kick sensor to become non-functionable. I understand the logic. They don't want the trunk to open accidentally. But if you able to put a hitch extension, that would not matter. It is unfortunate to have a function that I love, but would not be able to use it because I love my bike rack more
