Any word on if/when the Activity Mount will be available again? I actually really want one because we'll only be carrying bikes... Last I heard in early summer it had been discontinued or something due to manufacturing problems/defects? Anyone know where to get one at this point? They seem to be out of stock everywhere...
It is awesome and worth getting for carrying bikes. One thing to note, I had to add a 6-inch extension between the bike rack and the activity mount to ensure adequate clearance between the bike rack and the back of NX.
YMMV,

P.S. - Sorry I didn't answer your question about availability, I don't know
When I purchased my 350 FSport, I purchased the trailer hitch as part of the deal - we then learned there was a 'stop sale' order on the hitches. I almost bought the activity mount, however my knucklehead dealership couldn't seem to find the activity mount part number and such to order it. I got lucky when I inquired about the activity mount last week - the actual hitch assembly is now available. They ordered it and I had it installed today. The OEM hitch with 2" receiver part number is: PW960-78005 NX/H/PHV TOW HITCH KIT. I searched online for this part and couldn't find it anywhere so it might be very very new.
This was a lengthy install - full rear bumper cover removal - it was the first one my dealer has done so I'm sure this is why it took about 4 hours. Yeah.. 4 hours. I'm ok with it since they did it right and it is the OEM part. I wasn't charged four hours of install time - I was billed 2 hours for install. I consider this reasonable given what was involved. I didn't have the wiring harness installed - it wasn't available. I intend to use this only for a bike rack, but wanted the option to pull a small utility trailer if I ever need to. I'll have the wiring installed when available.
That looks so much better than the drawtite hitch. In the end the 76201 is made for the Rav so the hitch plate is designed to sit nicely underneath the Rav bumper. On our NX there's just this massive gap between the hitch plate and bumper, just an eyesore IMO.
well...got rear ended at a stop light. Insurance totaled the vehicle
The major damage was caused by the Drawtite hitch pulling the frame rails downward and bending the unibody. There's more damage than the picture depict.
I believe that if the OEM hitch was installed, the damage would have been less severe as I presume it is bolted to the ends of the frame rail behind the bumper (per the post above by Datanator stating bumper needed to be removed). This would have transferred the collision impact to the crumple zone instead. Something to keep in mind if you are debating between OEM and aftermarket.

Ugh - I’m sorry this happened to you. I’ll try to remember to crawl under the car and snap some images of the mount points of the oem setup for reference.
OK everyone I crawled under the car and took some really crappy photos of the way this OEM hitch assembly is mounted. Please forgive the crappy photos, but it was only so much distance between the tow bar and the ground so it was really hard to get a good clean view that makes sense when you look at it without the context of actually being under the car.
The first thing I will call out is to note on the mounts you will see that the bracket is actually sandwiching the part of the car it’s bolted to, in other words there is a left and right component, and the actual tow bar is bolted to the lower section of the sandwiched bracket. the other thing that I will call out is and I may be wrong about this - the tow bar seems to actually replace the impact beam that was originally behind the bumper cover.
I’m not positive about this, but from what I can tell the impact bar would not have any room behind this bumper, cover, or above the hitch bar now that the tow bar assembly is mounted in there. This completely explains the removal of the bumper cover. I do however, reserve the right to be incorrect about this due to the fact, I don’t have any photos of the assembly prior to the OEM hitch assembly being mounted. I did, however see my car from about 30 yards away through the window in the waiting room where I did notice the impact beam was laying on the ground and I thought it was odd, but figured they had to remove it in order to fit the tow bar assembly and figured they would reinstall it. But from the way, this thing looks it actually looks like it is a complete replacement of that impact beam. But again, I can’t be positive. In a way it makes logical sense, but at the same time I can’t be positive.
i’m also attaching a photo of the label that is attached to the bottom surface of the tow bar assembly.
I will update with more photos if I can get better angles or better lighting with a shop light. I’ll try that a little bit later today.
edit: I added one photo where I added, a small yellow line showing the outboard side of one of the brackets. Note the length. I measured it with a tape measure, and it is just under 12 inches long. These brackets are no joke. I did my best to get some lighting up in the area behind the bumper cover, but I simply can’t get any angles to show what’s back there to confirm or disprove the theory the OEM hitch assembly replaced the impact beam. Next time I am at the dealer I will crawl under one of these cars and see if I can see anything. Also, if somebody wants to, chime in here and crawl under your own car, and take a picture of what things look like under there and maybe we can compare.
All of this is assuming folks in this group care about this whole thing. Lol I may very well be making more of it than people care about but I thought it would help!

Reason: Added one photo
Anybody found another option for wiring? I checked U-Haul today, basically they are installing universal wiring system, cutting original Lexus light wire to split it. Did not liked that option.
If not - I guess I have to order Tekonsha TK73VR wiring and rotate cables as per newguytoda experience.
Still cross shopping the NX, with RDX and GV70. As an avid biker I need a 2 inch hitch receiver to carry my bike rack. Can anyone share a photo to show how integrated the factory tow hitch looks on the NX, specifically the F-sport if possible. I have not been able to find any images online yet nor make it to a dealer. I think the GV70 is off my list due to it having the most hideous looking hitch option ever. The GV70 is a gorgeous car, but Genesis seemed to have completely forgotten that someone might want to have a hitch when they did the design.
I just had my Lexus oem hitch installed. Including photos. This is an NX 350 FSport (2022). Photos of brackets as well. Reply with questions.
Wondering what that plate thing is on the right? Is it welded on to the bar or is it bolted in seperately?
that’s the mount for the wiring connection - it is bolted on so it can be left off. I’m expecting to add wiring when the oem part is available so I had them go ahead and add it.
